Big News: I’ve Joined the New Ferry Butterfly Park Committee! 🦋💚

I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’m now officially a member of the New Ferry Butterfly Park Committee! 🎉

Although my heart (and this blog) belongs to ducks, I’ve always believed that all wildlife deserves our love, protection, and attention. From the flash of a kingfisher to the soft flutter of a butterfly’s wings, every species plays its part in the intricate web of life. And now, I get to roll up my sleeves and help protect one of the Wirral’s most magical pockets of biodiversity.

New Ferry Butterfly Park is a hidden gem – a reclaimed urban space now teeming with wildflowers, bees, birds, and of course, butterflies. It’s an inspiring example of how communities can bring nature back, even in the most unexpected places. Being part of the committee means I’ll have a direct role in shaping how the park supports wildlife, educates visitors, and continues to thrive for years to come.

While there may not be any ducks waddling around (yet!), the values at the heart of Mallard Munch – conservation, joy in nature, and celebrating the small things – fit right in. I’m excited to bring my passion, people-skills, and perhaps even some cheeky duck-themed ideas to the table.

Watch this space for behind-the-scenes updates from the park, wildlife spotting adventures, and maybe even a butterfly-themed biscuit or two. 💫

Here’s to working even harder for wildlife – wings, webbed feet, and all. 🦆🦋💚
